I don't go out very often. When I do I go to Jake's Place. Same owner for years. Great food, fast service, most of all no trouble. I go to relax and enjoy. People are kind & professional. I like looking at all the unique items on the walls. I walked in on a Saturday night and there was a live band no cover charge. I stayed a lot longer that night. Lol

One of my favorite spots. It's like Cheers, everyone knows each other and the staff is mega friendly. They have the best club sandwich in KC and a Chicken Fried Steak to die for.

We go to shoot pool and have some drinks. Jake's is perfect. The staff is friendly and service is great. I've even eaten there and enjoyed that as well. The patio is nice too with tv's to enjoy while getting fresh air. Parking is convenient, and the bar is itself is like a home away from home.

Always a good time gathering with family friends and former classmates at Jake's. My girlfriends and I especially enjoy the paint nights. But trivia is fun as well.

Great place to eat lunch or have dinner, I had a 2lb chilly dog and it was good! They have specials on food and drinks. Awesome place loved it!

Food good. Ordered tenderloin special but didn't price as such on ticket . Had cottage cheese instead of chips and charged full price for side. I thought was a substitute . Should hv asked if extra charge

The owner is a family and friends oriented kind of person who his strongly supported by the community. They have excellent food and service along with great entertainment and events. I highly recommend this for a friendly small business neighborhood bar and grill.

This is pretty typical neighborhood bar with the anticipated bar fare. They have typically good burgers. Tonight I chose a salad. It was topped with grilled chicken which was plentiful but a bit more of the other toppings would have been nice. Service could have been a bit more attentive but was pleasant. This is not a fancy place and always seems quite loud to me. That may be a function of the concrete floor.

We had the nicest server. Not only was she excellent at her job, but she had a wonderful personally! Loved my visit ❤️❣️ with my daughter.

Nice, friendly atmosphere. Clean ladies room something I rarely find in a bar. Service is fast and consistent. Really enjoy coming to see Ninety 2 Nothin when they play at Jake's Place!

That bartender named brittany sure is the bees knees! So caring she always sings me nursery rhymes when i sip on my beer and tells me i matter Bless this BAR!

Great Food and drink specials and cool atmosphere!

I went to a paint night, and I had a pretty good time. It's a little hole in the wall, but I really liked the drink list.

A local bar and grill. Not fancy but who needs that. The food is great. Last night special $2.00 off any burger and a meatloaf special.If near Shawnee check it out.

Had an awesome time here for the first cornhole tournament. Great food, cold drinks, excellent service....... I mean you just can't lose. If you havent been here try it!!

Jake's Place has been around for twenty years outlasting many local bars. They keep the decor and dining area looking inviting. The game room is just the right size for a couple of groups of friends with several choices.

Jake's is a very family friendly establishment. Great food, always very friendly service and the owners support gift wrapping events such as giving presents to unfortunate kids at schools, devastating events, etc. Highly recommend for an enjoyable meal, drink and socializing.
